Boutique Hotel within a Listed Building in Leicester City Centre
Walters Architects have just submitted a planning application for an interior design scheme in a Boutique Hotel within a Listed Building in Leicester city centre.
An application is required due to the hotel being a Grade II Listed Building in a prominent part of the old town, within the Guildhall Conservation Area.
Originally converted into a hotel a few years ago, the building will now undergoing further changes to include a new reception area. It will mean knocking down an internal structural wall, building new internal screens and commissioning a bespoke reception desk.
Walters Architects have worked with the client on several projects and are delighted they like the results. We now look forward to a similar response from the conservation officer at Leicester city Council.
In the meantime we have sent the scheme to 4 companies for their quotations and, ideally, the works will start in 12 weeks. We anticipate the works will be completed in a further 4 weeks so the hotel is ready for the festive period.
Check out St. Martins Lodge opposite the cathedral. It’s ideally placed for a stop over in Leicester.
